A Heartland Christian Coaching supplement

The technology side of walking alongside someone in recovery.

Stewardship is a training program for the accountability partner — usually the spouse — equipping you with the practical tools to lock down the devices in your home, so the recovery work your loved one is doing has room to take root.

Chapter I · What is included

Three things, working together.

I.

A device inventory.

You and your spouse walk through every phone, laptop, and tablet in the home — naming what is there before deciding what to do about it.

II.

A guided lockdown.

Filters on the home internet, the right built-in locks on each device, and accountability software set up the way it actually works — closing the paths around the cycle at 2am.

III.

A rhythm to keep it going.

Weekly check-ins, a monthly review, a 90-day re-consent moment, and an exit door if you ever need one. The technology supports the relationship, not the other way around.

Chapter II · For whom this is written

The accountability partner who isn't a computer person.

You don't have to be technical. You don't have to figure this out alone. We meet you where you are, walk you through what is being put in place, and give you a written guide you can return to whenever you need.

Every account stays in your spouse's name. Every password stays in their hands. We are equipping them — through you — to put boundaries around themselves they could not put around themselves alone.

Chapter III · Where this lives

Built alongside Heartland Christian Coaching.

Heartland already does the heart work and the clinical work — counselors who walk with people in real recovery, coaches who help them step forward into what God has for them. Stewardship is the practical, bolts-and-locks side that has been missing. It is a coaching-track supplement, not a substitute for the counseling your spouse may also need.
